Vector Smart Chain

Vector Smart Chain (VSC) is an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain designed for high throughput, low-cost transactions, and seamless interoperability with the broader Ethereum ecosystem. The official site brings together network overviews, validator and staking resources, wallet guidance, and developer documentation for deploying smart contracts and dapps. For anyone evaluating emerging EVM chains for performance, tooling compatibility, or deployment, it is the primary reference for the VSC network and its roadmap.

zkRollup

A zkRollup (Zero-Knowledge Rollup) is a Layer 2 scaling solution that performs transaction execution outside of the main Ethereum blockchain, while relying on the L1 for data availability and finality. By bundling hundreds or thousands of transactions into a single batch and generating a cryptographic proof known as a zk-SNARK (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) or zk-STARK, the system verifies the validity of all bundled transactions simultaneously. This allows the main chain to verify the state update without processing every individual transaction, significantly increasing throughput and reducing gas costs while maintaining high-level security.

Transaction Fee

A transaction fee is a payment made by a user to network participants (miners or validators) to prioritize and include their transaction in a block. These fees incentivize network security by rewarding validators for the computational resources spent processing data. In many chains, fees also serve as a spam prevention mechanism, making it computationally and financially expensive for malicious actors to flood the network with useless traffic.
